Coca-Cola Freestyle
When the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine hit the market, the world was introduced to a soda fountain that dispensed over 125 Coke beverages. To help Coca-Cola roll it out en masse, we needed to demonstrate to food chains how increased foot traffic would justify the cost of purchase and installation. To do this we built an online replica that allowed fans to preview how cool it was to use the Freestyle and gave them the ability to petition to have one brought to their area.
The app generated huge interest in Coca-Cola’s Freestyle machine and boosted the Coca-Cola Facebook community by 50k fans in just one month. Most importantly, targeted data was provided via eager fans using the app to request dispensers in more than 1,500 towns and cities across the country.
The Coca-Cola Freestyle Create Your Drink app won a Communicator Award of Excellence.
The solution: demonstrate prospective demand by introducing a virtual machine and making it possible for users to petition for a real one in their area.
